TK Array Supports Federal IMARs Engagement with Dene Tha’ First Nation

TK Array Lands Corp. was selected to support engagement on the Government of Canada’s proposed Indigenous Ministerial Arrangements Regulations (IMARs), facilitating sessions with Dene Tha’ First Nation (DTFN) members and Elders in High Level, Alberta, in February 2026.

Led by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), the initiative seeks input from Indigenous groups to inform the development of the proposed regulations. TK Array’s role focused on supporting community participation in this national engagement process.

If developed, the proposed IMARs could enable Indigenous governing bodies to exercise certain powers, duties or functions currently carried out by the Canada Energy Regulator. Potential arrangements could involve responsibilities related to federally regulated energy infrastructure, including pipelines and power lines.

The High Level sessions provided an opportunity for DTFN members and Elders to learn about the initiative and participate in discussions about the proposed regulations. Through its facilitation role, TK Array helped connect the national engagement process with community members.

For TK Array, this work reflects the importance of supporting Indigenous participation in discussions about the regulation of energy infrastructure. The company thanks the Dene Tha’ First Nation members and Elders who took part in the sessions.
